UK’s bestselling foundation

This blog will be talking about the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place foundation. You have all heard about this foundation, where some people love it being their holy grail foundation and some hate it. I happen to love this foundation I wear the shade 2W2 Rattan.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup SPF 10 is a worry-free, long-wearing makeup provides 15-hour staying power, stays fresh and looks natural through heat, humidity, nonstop activity. Flawless all day. Oil-free. Fragrance-free. Non-acnegenic.

Now before I start, I will speak about having bought this foundation a few years back and returning it the next day after just one use. It was way too cakey on my face and no one likes a foundation that makes you look cakey. But then going through a period of bad skin and left with blemishes from acne I wanted a foundation that would cover up my blemishes really well. The only foundation that had good reviews for good coverage was Estée Lauder double wear, although I didn’t want to buy it again, I thought to give it a go anyway. I ended up getting the wrong shade however I still got it to work for me and fell in love with it and did get the right shade too which is 2W2 the one mentioned above. The consistency of the foundation is completely different to the one I had bought a few years back. It is very liquidy feels very lightweight on skin; you can take the coverage from medium to full without it looking cakey. One thing I have noticed is you need a very small amount, at first it does look like it hasn’t covered up your blemishes but it does turn out to look flawless and full coverage, how? I don’t know. The foundation is pricey but does last a very long time, like I said you only need a small amount of it. I don’t have much luck with foundations most of the time, as I have oily skin and it’s a pain when foundations break you out. This foundation is ideal for those with combination/oily skin or acne prone. I do know a lot of people with dry skin who love this foundation too, when you love something you make it work, be it with extra moisturising cream.

I have never worn it for 15hrs to be able to say if it does last that long but it definitely lasts through heat and humidity. I do recommend applying it with a beauty blender, the times I have tried to use it with a brush it hasn’t worked for me. You don’t need to set your foundation with powder but I still go ahead and powder my T-zone. This foundation just makes my skin look flawless and I love it.

One thing I do dislike is that it doesn’t come with a pump – oh well.

Please get a sample before you go to spend your money on it, it’s really important you get the right shade and the foundation works for your skin type. Overall I’m sure you’ll fall in love with it.
