Looking back

These 20 years have been full of happiness, more than I could ever ask for. I have so much to be thankful about. Everything every day feels like a blessing and it truly is.

Saying just that, I know that to some people I’m coming across as a person who hasn’t even seen life yet to be able to talk about it. I agree, I haven’t. I haven’t experienced life just yet. But what I have experienced hasn’t been so straightforward till this day, but regardless it couldn’t have been more perfect for me. I have gone through so much to say the least, and no I am not talking about any individual when I say that. The people who are and that have been part of my life have been truly amazing, each and every single one of them. Yes, there have been not so good situations with some, but they were just situations nothing more nothing less. What I am talking about when I say, “gone through a lot” is my health. My health could have been better, but I will fight it through – that’s the belief I’ve held for as long as I remember till this day and I know one day I’ll be able to say I’ve done it!

Stopping there with that, my message to all of you is always focus on the things that make you happy, that make you smile. Negatives, bad situations enter every one of our lives, but we have to face it. There’s no such thing as a perfect life, but having a perfect life and turning one into perfect is two different things.

If you’re having a bad day today or your just in a bad mood, spend even a minute to think about the time you was the happiest or focus on the things that make you happy, you will see how your day and mood just improves. If you’re really struggling with that, you’re just having a hard time to think of something that made you happy then go and put a smile on someone else’s face with your kind words. There’s no bigger happiness than being kind and helpful towards others. Put your energy towards the good in your life. You have so much to be thankful for, start counting on your blessings; you will find that you have many more than you initially thought.

Happy 21st Birthday to me!
